CIPS

The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) offers five internationally recognized qualification levels designed to enhance skills and advance careers in procurement and supply chain management. Here’s an overview of each level:

CIPS Qualification Levels

  1. Level 2: Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations
    An introductory course for those new to procurement, covering fundamental principles, stakeholder management, and basic procurement processes.
  2. Level 3: Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations
    Designed for individuals with some experience, this level delves deeper into procurement procedures, supply logistics, and contract management.
  3. Level 4: Diploma in Procurement and Supply
    The highest entry point, suitable for those with at least two years of business experience. It covers comprehensive procurement and supply chain management topics.
  4. Level 5: Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply
    Building on Level 4, this qualification focuses on risk management, advanced contract and finance management, and procurement leadership.
  5. Level 6: Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply
    The final level, aimed at senior professionals, emphasizing strategic leadership, change management, and stakeholder engagement. Completion leads to MCIPS Chartered status.
